Frequently asked questions
Answers about onboarding, modules, pricing, branches, security, and support.
Browse common questions below. If you do not see your topic — data migration, HMO setup, nursing rollout, or multi-branch permissions — contact us or book a demo and we will walk through your facility’s situation.
Platform
Yes. AfriHealthSys is multi-tenant and supports organisation, branch, and department context with role-based permissions and branch-aware reporting. Annex sites can share catalogues while keeping local queues and staff access under control.
Yes. Most facilities begin with Clinic EMR (patients, appointments, visits/encounters) plus Billing, then enable Pharmacy, Laboratory, Nursing, Radiology, Maternity, Dental, Claims, or CRM when ready — without reinstalling the platform.
Private outpatient clinics, multi-department hospitals, maternity centres, dental clinics, pharmacies, and diagnostic labs operating in African care contexts — especially teams that juggle HMO payers and multi-site operations.
Yes. New branches inherit your module configuration and can be configured with departments, staff assignments, and local operational defaults without standing up a separate product.
Billing & Claims
Yes. The Claims module covers payer/coverage setup, authorizations, claim creation from encounter and billing data, and batch submission workflows designed to reduce denials caused by missing clinical or administrative detail.
Invoices and payments sit on top of encounters and service catalogues, so finance is not reconstructing care from paper. That link is what makes receipts, outstanding balances, and claims packages more reliable.
Onboarding
Many single-site clinics go live in about two to four weeks, depending on catalogue readiness, data migration scope, training calendars, and whether you freeze a focused module set for week one. Hospital networks typically need a phased branch plan.
Discovery maps roles and priorities; configuration sets branches, departments, services, and permissions; cohorts train on real queues; then a soft launch with morning metrics reviews. We treat go-live as change management, not only software cut-over.
Yes, within agreed scope. Typical imports include patient demographics, open appointments, service catalogues, and selected historical billing references. Deep clinical chart migration is planned case-by-case during discovery.
Product
The product app is a Progressive Web App. Teams can install it on phones and tablets used at the front desk, nursing station, or pharmacy counter without a separate native-store deployment for every device.
Yes. Nursing workflows cover vitals queues, care notes, and procedure logging so triage and ward documentation stay connected to the patient record.
Yes. Laboratory covers orders, specimens, result entry, and approval. Radiology covers imaging orders and result documentation within the same tenant patient context.
Yes. Pharmacy can dispense against encounter prescriptions, manage stock lots and expiry, and handle OTC sales — reducing transcription errors between clinicians and dispensary.
Pricing
Plans are scoped to facility size and enabled modules — typically Clinic, Growth, and Enterprise conversations rather than a one-page self-serve checkout. Book a demo or contact sales for a quote matched to your branch count and module set.
Security & Privacy
Yes. Tenants are isolated. Users only see organisations and branches they are authorised to access. Cross-tenant access is not part of normal product behaviour.
Yes. Sensitive operational and administrative actions can be reviewed through audit logging to support governance and investigations. Customer admins remain responsible for day-to-day access hygiene.

Support
Support channels and response expectations are defined in your agreement. Onboarding includes training cohorts; afterward, customers receive assistance with configuration, access issues, and prioritized defect handling.
